Various laws and regulations govern both the mandatory physical marking of imported goods as well as claims of U.S. origin made primarily for marketing purposes.  This program covers both the Federal Trade Commission standards as they relate to "Made in USA" claims, as well as compliance requirements associated with U.S. Customs marking rules.  
Subsequently, the questions are:

• Do you Manufacture a product made with any imported parts or components?
• Are you confused as the rules about Made in the USA vs assembled in the USA?
• Are you confused about origin markings on your finished product and what rules apply?

Learn the rules about what qualifies a product to claim Made in the USA, per the Federal Trade Commission regulations, as well as the basics of U.S. Customs marking requirements, and the significant differences between the two.

Paul Fudacz, Senior, Attorney for Braumiller Law Group will be speaking on:  "An overview of U.S. Federal Trade Commission rules on the use of "Made in USA" in product marking and advertising and U.S. Customs marking requirements" Various laws and regulations govern both the mandatory physical marking of imported goods as well claims of U.S. origin made primarily for marketing purposes.  This program covers both the Federal Trade Commission standards as they relate to "Made in USA" claims, as well as compliance requirements associated with U.S. Customs marking rules. 

Supervisory Import Specialist Susan Coleman, from U.S. Customs, will cover:  Marking requirements for goods imported into the U.S., and corrective actions used by CBP to address marking issues and best practices for marking goods. She has over 25 years' experience with Customs & Border Protection and has worked in a number of different commodity lines over the years.
